Position Details

General Description and Position Requirements:

The Woolwich Township is seeking an Electrical Sub Code Official.

The time committed is a minimum of approximately 12 hrs. per week. 

Official Job Description:

Examine plans of proposed structures for compliance with local, state & county regulations, reads plans, consults with professionals regarding compliance problems; conducts field inspections to ensure compliance.  Prepares reports. Maintains & establishes essential records. 

The Electrical Inspector must be authorized to review plans and carry out field inspection activities for structures in Class I, II and III.

Education and Experience:

Three years of experience in the preparation and revision of building construction plans & specifications or in the full-time inspection.

Licenses and Certifications:

Required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey.

Required to possess an HHS Electrical Subcode/ Inspector issued by the NJ Dept. of Community Affairs.
