“The investigation into the Woolwich homicide is progressing. This investigation is in the early stages and relevant details cannot be released at the present time. However, all available information indicates there is no immediate safety concern for area residents,” said Prosecutor Sean F. Dalton. american flagWoolwich Township is governed by a five member Township Committee who are elected to three-year staggered terms of office. The Mayor is appointed to an annual term by the members of the Township Committee.

This five-member governing body is empowered to enact local ordinances, to levy municipal taxes and conduct the affairs of our community. In almost all cases, it can review and approve the actions of other Woolwich Township committees and boards. The Mayor and Township Committee conducts all of its business during monthly meetings open to the public.
